15 schools will be playing; the 12 from last season plus Cloverleaf, BioMed Academy, and Kenston. We tried to get Kent Roosevelt but they backed out late. Norton said they couldn't. Crestwood and Windham don't have teams afaik, and we even tried to get Lordstown to no avail.
Play will be round robin over 5 matchnights, 3 games a night. Because we didn't get a 16th school, one game for each school will be its varsity v its JV. The last night will be February 27 at Maplewood Career Center, bringing all 15 schools and their varsity and JV teams together for the final 3 games, plus dinner and awards afterwards.
Aurora and Cloverleaf should battle for the title/OAC bid. Newbury and Western Reserve could be up there, especially if Newbury's lit player did work over the summer. I think Rootstown lost a few seniors. No idea what Kenston and BioMed will bring to the table. There should be 5 HSNCT, 5 or 6 SSNCT Public and 2 SSNCT Charter/Private bids available.
